Tarah Mackintosh, is a masters educated, registered Counsellor. Her therapeutic approach is compassionate and empowering, supporting people to identify their strengths, foster self-understanding and create meaningful change.
Holistic, because no journey is the same.

Tarah Mackintosh is a registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, she holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Counselling. Tarah’s approach draws on Person-Centred Counselling and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, with mindfulness practices integrated where aligned.
Tarah has experience in private practice and not-for-profit settings, supporting clients with psychosocial disabilities and neurodivergent individuals including Autism and ADHD and a background in Corporate HR. She practices with authenticity and compassion and has a strong focus on creating a space for individuals to feel heard and to build self-understanding. Tarah’s areas of interest are mindset, identity, burnout, anxiety, self-worth & confidence, relationships, study & career navigation and life transitions. She has an interest in couples counselling and continues to develop her expertise through the Gottman Institute.
Tarah currently works at SCILL, a not-for-profit organisation.
Tarah is also a level 2 Usui Reiki Practitioner. Reiki, meaning Life Force Energy creates self healing and inner balance, removing emotional blocks and enabling the body to return to a parasympathetic state.
