
About Tarah
Tarah Mackintosh, is a masters educated, Professional Counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association. She holds a BA Psychological Science and MA Counselling. Tarah draws on Person-Centred Counselling and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, with mindfulness practices integrated where aligned. Her approach is compassionate and empowering, supporting people to identify their strengths, foster self-understanding and create meaningful change.

Tarah offers neuro-affirming counselling that recognises every part of you is interconnected. Exploring together, your experiences with respect for your unique way of thinking, feeling, and relating to the world. Her approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and grounded in the belief that wellbeing comes from greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and living in a way that aligns with who you are.
Tarah has experience in private practice and not-for-profit settings, supporting clients with psychosocial disabilities and neurodivergent individuals including Autism and ADHD and a background in Corporate HR.
